Schools across the land have been and continue to set up accounts for our offspring with a multitude of “Edtech vendors” and “presumably/assumably” allowed to do so under COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act), however, they are NOT informing families, Mothers and Fathers – and they are NOT seeking permission from the family to do so.
Families are completely unaware of this and in most cases, schools are instructing students to click “I Agree” when they set these accounts up, bypassing familial permission and essentially allowing these EdTech companies to collect and mine massive amounts of data from our minors/offspring… data they do not have permission to take from Mothers and Fathers, but do from so-called “schools”!!!
Get it through your heads… this data is not restricted to when your offspring is using the application / software / program at school… when students come home from school and log in to complete homework assignments or study… the data is flowing from the home computer / iPad / device to the EdTech company(s).
Your IP address is considered personal information because it is specific to you – that is just one of the over 50,000 data points being collected by the Edtech companies.
I have done my due-diligence and have looked into the New Hartford Central School District’s service and application form(s)” and this is what they have a legalese “Presumption and Assumption” of:

- I understand that all information stored in the schooltool™ database remains the property of the District, and may be accessed, examined, or modified by the District or its vendors at any time.
- I understand that the schooltool™ database may record and retain information about when and how I use schooltool™through the Parent Portal, and that this information is the property of the District and subject to review by the District.

- I consent to sharing and disclosing student’s name, voice, likeness and other personal information that is part of the “user content” for advertising, marketing, publicity and promotional items.
- Finally, giving consent, they can and will give my information and my daughter’s information to third parties such as network advertisers and ad exchanges such as “Behavioral Ads” and “Contextual Ads”.
- I consent to HMH using and sharing our information and data and “other activities”.
I do NOT consent to Human Trafficking, Slavery, Genocide & Terrorism by ANY Inauthentic–Corporate–Slave or ANY Corporate/State/Government Agency!!!
The data being collected is not limited to demographic information. The data (education records) being collected has continuously expanded since 2014 to include SEL (Social Emotional Learning) skills which include the student’s values, beliefs, “grit” and attitudes.
Legal Def. Grantor Retained Income Trust (GRIT): is an irrevocable trust established in a written trust agreement whereby the grantor transfers assets but retains the income from or the use of these assets for a stipulated period of time.”
Essentially, the above means “entrusting” your property (offspring) to filthy, Sovereign Citizen, terrorist pigs engaged in human trafficking, slavery and genocide!!!

Folks, I cannot urge you strongly enough to look into what “EdTech” companies your sons/daughters are using and read their privacy policies… connect the dots and see who/what they link to. Cross-reference ALL terms. Look into what your school district has consented YOU to and what accounts have been set up for your child.
